Wood restoration is a very misunderstood process. Wood is soft and can be easily damaged with too much water pressure. We are called in after many homeowners have damaged their wood with a power washer. Decks need the proper cleaner, neutralizer and an experienced wash technician before a stain/sealer is applied. A lot of factors determine what deck cleaner is required to restore the wood. Once we choose the correct cleaners, we wash the wood with the right amount of pressure. We then do a neutralizing process to prepare the wood to be sealed. The number one reason a sealer fails is because the wood is not prepared properly. After the wood dries to the proper moisture level, we then apply a contractor grade stain/sealer by hand. All staining/sealing is done by hand. Absolutely NO spraying of stain... which means NO OVERSPRAY on your house, car or anywhere ! Hand brushing also ensures deeper stain penetration and an even application. Your wood will be protected and look beautiful too !
